Ravikiran was invited by Cleveland Tyagaraja Festival to compose the first and final segments of their grand 6-day Operatic dance production, Ramayana. His Ramayana - Bala Kandam performed to sell-out crowds in San Diego in April 2011 and a week later in Cleveland. Choreographed by the legendary Prof C V Chandrashekhar, this consisted of 37 pieces and included a new 3-note raga introduced by him, Katyayani as also a unique tillana based on Chaturashra tishra gati, interspersed with illusory math patterns as well. Musicians included Anahita & Apoorva Ravindran, Bhargavi Balasubramanian and others.
