Shiva demands an explanation from Vinayaka and asks him to get out of his way. Vinayaka continues to block the entrance and explains that he owes his very existence to Parvati and he is obliged to obey her command to not let anyone in. He also enquires who Shiva is, which infuriates the Lord further.
